Turkey Cookbook - 2015

The Kindergarten Class would like to give you a few pointers on how to prepare your Thanksgiving turkey and they had some ideas of what else they would like to eat at their feast.  Enjoy! 

The Pilgrims have landed!

“Grandpa will take Bailey hunting in the country to get a turkey.  She will shoot it with her bow.  Grandpa will pull out the feathers and then he will clean it off with water.  It will go in a pan and Mom will put salt and pepper on it.  She will put it in the oven at 3 degrees for 16 minutes.

We will eat it with bread, grapes, hot dogs and apples.  For dessert we will have vanilla ice cream!”

“My mom will buy the turkey at Krull’s Market.  It will weigh 100 pounds and it will cost $20.00.  She will take the wrapper off and clean it in the sink with water and then put it in a pan.  She will pour juice on it.  She will sprinkle seasoning on it and she will put some apples on the top of it.  She will put it in a 30 degree oven for 10 minutes.

We will eat it with meatballs, apples, peanut butter, and grapes.  For dessert we would have chocolate cake and an ice cream dessert with cookie sprinkles.”

“My mom will buy the turkey at the store.  It will cost $20.00 and it will weigh 60 pounds.  She will take it out of the wrapper and cut it into pieces.  She will put the bones in a bowl.  She will put meat sauce, dressing, ranch and salsa on top of it.  She will put some meatballs and some salt sprinkles on it too.  She will bake it for 65 hours.  We will eat it with lettuce, tomatoes, dressing, and pizza.  For dessert we will have orange Push-ups!”

 “Grandma will get the turkey from Krull’s Market and it will cost $13.00.  She will put it in a big pan.  Then she will put cooking oil on it and put it in the oven.  We will eat it with corn, mashed potatoes, and strawberries.  We will have chocolate ice cream for dessert!”

 “My mom would get the turkey at Krull’s Market.  My dad is going to clean it.  Then mommy puts sugar, butter, eggs and flour on it.  Then she puts it in a pan and cooks it on the stove for three minutes.  We eat it with pheasant, deer, pineapple, watermelon, pears and cheese.  For dessert we will have chocolate pudding with chocolate chips.”

"My mom will get the turkey at the store.  She will put water in the pan with some stuffing.  We would eat it with potatoes, gravy, carrots and corn."

“We will get the turkey from my mommy’s work.  She will put hot sauce, strawberries, a costume, a hat and a necklace on it.  We will cook it in the stove.  It will cook for 4 minutes at very hot!

In the other bowls we would have spaghetti.  For dessert we would have a sandwich and triangles.”

“We will get a big turkey from the store.   Dad will open it and then he will put the turkey in a pan.  Then Mommy will put flour, colorful sprinkles, and frosting on it.  Then she will put the turkey in the oven.  It should bake at 6 degrees for 4 minutes.  When the bell rings, it is done. 

We will eat it with pancakes, strawberries and cream.  For dessert, we will eat chocolate chip cookies.”

“We will get our turkey from Alaska because some turkeys live there.  Daddy tears all of the meat off and then he puts it in a pan.  My grandpa puts hot pepper sauce on it.  Then grandma puts on some salt and cheese.  Then it goes in the oven that is 80 degrees and it cooks for an hour.

We would eat it with potatoes and gravy.  We will also have corn, pheasant, deer, and fruits.  For dessert we will have pizza!”

“First, you buy a turkey at the store.  Take the wrapper off, wash it with water and then we put it in a pan.  Sprinkle on some cheese and put in the oven for six hours. 

We will eat it with pink cake, strawberries and apples.  For dessert we will have cheese.”

“We are pheasant hunters, so my dad will get the turkey from the grocery store and it will cost $2.00.  Dad will take the wrapper off and put it in a pot.  Then he will put salt, pepper, onions, salad and cheese on top of it.  Then he will put it in the oven.  We will eat it with cucumbers and salad.  For dessert we will have chocolate chip cookies.”

 “First, we put the turkey into a pan and Mom will put sprinkles on it.  Then she will brush frosting on it.  Then she put it in the oven for 30 minutes.  When the timer goes off it is done.  I would like to have corn, chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy with it.  We will have chocolate chip cookies for dessert.”

“Mommy will get the turkey from the store and it will cost $10.00.  When we get home she puts it in a pan and she brushes on some mustard.  Then she will sprinkle on some salt and pepper.  In the other bowls there will be lettuce salad, carrots, pizza, and oranges.  For dessert, we will have carrot cake!”

 “We will get the turkey from the store.  Mom will put it in a pan and she will sprinkle salt and pepper on it.  Then she will put chocolate chips, ice cream, and sprinkles on top.  Then she will put it in the oven for 60 hours. 

I would like to eat it with deer, pheasant, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and dip.  Then we would have strawberry cupcakes for dessert!”

"My dad will get a 15 pound turkey from Krull’s Market and it will cost $10.00.  He will add seasoning, salt and pepper.  Then it goes into the oven for 10 seconds.

We will also have sweet potatoes, baked beans, apples, bananas, cauliflower, broccoli, mashed potatoes and gravy.  Chocolate cake with sprinkles, chocolate ice cream with black frosting would be for dessert.”

”First we get a bowl and put the turkey meat in it.  Then we will put barbeque sauce and cooking oil on top.  Next we will put flour on it.  Then it goes in a pan and into the oven that is 20 degrees and it will cook for 6 minutes.  We will eat it with Indian Corn, pumpkin pie, Granny Smith apples, mashed potatoes and gravy.”
